William Spitz, 73, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away on January 3, 2024.
Bill was born on April 25, 1950 to Arthur and Jean Spitz of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After Bill graduated from Marquette University High School he went on to study at several universities including MSOE’s electrical engineering program.
His inventive and adventurous spirit led to many creative solutions in building and software development. Beyond his professional achievements, Bill was a loving and devoted family man. He cherished the moments spent with his family, creating a warm and nurturing home that reflected his values of love, compassion, and togetherness. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering support will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In 1974 Bill met Grace Homrich at a friend’s home. They were married in Ontonagon, Michigan in 1978. For the next 45 years they rarely spent a moment apart, working together on their business, many projects, and school community activities. Together they raised three daughters.
In 2015 they ventured west to Idaho where they built their second Aerhaus surrounded by gardens and pasture. There they explored the beautiful rivers and lakes of northern Idaho with their children and grandchildren.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Jean Spitz, sister Mary Spitz, and brother Richard Spitz.
Bill is survived by his wife Grace, three daughters and their husbands Greta Densham (Martin), Erica Oldham (Toby), and Aerin Sembhi (Gurdeep); grandchildren Rose, Eva, and Peter Densham, Rhys and Bryn Oldham, Gursanjog, Prableen, Gurjor, and infant Sembhi; his brothers Timothy and Thomas Spitz; nieces Rose Spitz, Christina Bell, and Alma Spitz; his Aunt Elda Spitz and many cousins.
Visitation will be held for Bill on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 3:30pm until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 5:00pm, all at St. Monica Catholic Church, 5681 North Santa Monica Boulevard, Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin 53217.
May he rest in peace, and may his many kindnesses continue to bless us all.
