Walter Joseph Tesch, known as "Wally," passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, at the age of 82, with his devoted wife of 59 years, Sandra (Kasala), by his side.
Born on June 5, 1942, Wally lived a life marked by service, and a wide array of interests. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard 32nd Division and then as a Sergeant with the Milwaukee Police Department for 31 years until he retired. A devout Catholic, an avid deer hunter and bagpiper, he also built his family cabin in Middle Inlet, WI and briefly dabbled in stained glass making. After his retirement Wally and Sandy spent time traveling and spent many winters in Florida, where he played the bagpipes with the Panama City Pipes & Drums.
Wally was the beloved father of Dan (Aarona) and Christine (Mike) and is reunited in peace with his son David, his daughter Barbara and his parents Walter and Carole, and many friends. He was also a proud grandfather to Danielle, Lauren, Michael, and Ryan and is survived by sisters Geri (Berg) and Karen (McGivern).
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 10:00am with the service to follow at 11:00am, all at St Joseph Parish, 1619 Washington St, Grafton WI 53024.
