Obituary

Therese Ann Adlam “Teri”

Born to life on June 27, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter George and Patricia (nee Cobeen) Adlam, Teri was born to eternal life surrounded by her loving family on September 9, 2025, in Waukesha, Wisconsin after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was a young and spirited 67 years old.

One of five Adlam children, Teri grew up in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and attended Christ King Grade School, then Wauwatosa East High School. She furthered her education with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and worked in various capacities, before landing the perfect job for a person with her engaging personality, that was being the events manager at the Waukesha County Expo Center, for over 20 years. Her drive and determination helped grow the Center over those years into a desirable destination for events to be held. She was the past-president of the Waukesha Pewaukee Convention and Visitors Bureau, a proud member of Wisconsin Scottish, Inc. and very involved running the Wisconsin Highland Games since it's inception.

Teri loved a great party, and truly enjoyed entertaining family and friends, especially at Christmas. Her smile and quick wit brightened every room she entered, and care and concern for those around her was felt by all that knew her. She was known for her exceptional arts and crafts, and she could sew just about anything. Teri looked forward to spending time with her family and cousins in Door County and still had a close group of high school friends that would get together frequently, even gathering just days prior to her passing.

Teri is survived by her loving and devoted siblings, Kathy (Jerry) Slaske, Sue Adlam, John (D’Anna) Adlam and Jim (Debbie) Adlam and her cherished nieces and nephews Courtney (Brian) Rieger, Jason (Savannah), Lauren and Mike. Special great-aunt of Leyden and Delia Adlam and Porter Rieger. She is further survived by her long-time life companion Dave Netz, and other relatives and many friends, especially Andy, Samantha and Oliva Owens, who helped Teri so much that words cannot express the family’s gratitude to them. Teri was preceded in death by her parents, George and Patricia Adlam and her niece, Kimberly Slaske.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at ProHealth Oncology for the heartfelt care and compassion they showed while walking with Teri on her cancer journey. You gave Teri the ability to live longer than anyone could have imagined when she was first diagnosed with cancer.

A memorial gathering will be held for Teri on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 2:00pm until the time of Mass at 3:00pm, all at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, N35W23360 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee, Wisconsin 53072. Please join the family at a Celebration of Life for Teri immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Waukesha Women’s Center (https://twcwaukesha.org) or Tunnels to Towers (https://t2t.org) requested by the family.

The significance of Teri’s life will continue to live on in all the stories and memories anyone that met her share with others. She is now free of any pain and hurt and she is probably scheduling events and gatherings in the heavens above.
