Age 87 years. Born to life July 7, 1938 in Milwaukee, son of Joseph and Lucille Gibas. Born to eternal life December 28, 2025 at St. Luke Medical Center in Milwaukee surrounded by loving family. Preceded in death by his parents and daughter Diane Gibas. Beloved father of Dawn, Darrell (Kim), Josh (Ashley) and Bryan (Ashley) Gibas. Dear grandfather of Amber (Devon) Klompmaker, Alex (Andrea) Reid, Ethan, Collin, Bryson and Bryden Gibas. Loving great grandfather of Cora. Brother of Lori (Lee) Potega and Chris Hunt. Further survived by other relatives, friends and his faithful canine companion, Teddy.
Sy was a US Army veteran. He was employed at Allen Bradley Corporation for 22 years lastly being a supervisor. While residing in Florida, Sy worked at Intertech Resources and Chem Polymer Corporation. Moving back to Wisconsin, Sy worked for Stein Garden and Gifts from 1993 to 2010 as graphics art manager from 1997 to 2010. Sy also was an Amway distributor.
Sy was a talented musician. He was an adept piano, organ and accordian player.
