Sharon (nee LaRosa) Karl, age 84, born on August 19, 1940, was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven with Jesus standing to greet her, alongside her loving parents, James (Jim) and Alice LaRosa, and many dear relatives and friends. Her deep faith in God and unwavering love for family created a strong foundation that will continue to guide and inspire generations to come.
Sharon’s love and devotion to her family were at the heart of everything she did. She was a talented cook, creating meals that brought people together and filled her home with warmth and laughter. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by family, sharing stories around the table, and creating moments that will be treasured for generations. She also loved playing cards, whether teaching her grandchildren games like Old Maid and Kings in the Corner or enjoying Canasta with friends. For Sharon, family was life’s greatest blessing, and she made sure everyone who entered her home felt that love.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Keith Karl, and her brother Ken (Roz) LaRosa. She was a loving mother to Debbie (Steve) Biedenbender, Lynn (Pete) Ritonia, Sherri (Jamie) Scofield, and Terri (Peter) Knauer. Her ten doting grandchildren—Rebecca (Brandon) Charles, Evan (Victoria) Scofield, Nickolas (Abby) Biedenbender, Zane (Samantha) Scofield, Joseph “Joey” Ritonia, Hannah (Michael) Daly, Annlya (Andrew) Best, Amanda “Rosie” (Eric) Bould, Caden “Fritzy” Knauer, and Calen “Chuck” Knauer—were the pride and joy of her life. She also adored her ten great-grandchildren, Levi, Atreyu, Silas, Jaxon, Asher, Rocco, Alena, Otis, Scarlett, and Isaac, with two more buns in the oven.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace, embraced by the love of God. While she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
