It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Sharon Lee Hanson, who departed this life on May 17th, 2026, at the age of 84.

Sharon was born on September 2nd, 1941, and was the loving daughter Elmer “Lefty” Herbst and Elaine Herbst. She was a cherished sister to Leila Goetsch (Rollie) and Ronald Herbst (Pam), and beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was the beloved wife of Joel Hanson, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to Stephanie Baudhuin (Mark), a proud grandmother to Samantha Tutic (Salmin) and Sarah Henkel (James), and a loving great-grandmother to Jasmine, James, Julian, and Josiah.

She dedicated 41 years of her life working at Northwest Swiss-Matic, demonstrating commitment, strength, and pride in her work. Sharon lived in Minnesota for more than 40 years before returning to Wisconsin to be closer to her family, where she continued to share her love presence with those she cherished most.

Sharon passed away in an assisted living facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin after a brief time on hospice, surrounded by care and compassion.

She will be remembered for her love, her warmth, and her spicy, feist spirit, which brought strength, laughter and energy to those around her. She leaves behind treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
