Sandy (nee Siewert) found Eternal Peace on Thursday, April 23, 2025, at the age of 79, one day short of her 80th birthday,
Sandy was born on April 24, 1945, to the late William and Hazel (nee Jones) Siewert in West Allis, Wisconsin. She attended St. Aloysius Grade School and graduated from Mercy High School in 1963. She went on to pursue a lifelong career as a hairdresser for Tiara Beauty Salon and worked for various funeral homes throughout the area. For over 45 years she touched the lives of so many, cherishing all the friendships she made along the way.
Sandy was a loving mother to Michael (Lori) Gramins and Wendy (Mike) Matel. She was a devoted grandmother to Sam (Jenna) Matel, Matthew Gramins, Kailey Matel, Morgan Gramins, and Madisyn Matel. Proud great grandmother of Melanie Matel. Sandy is survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her soulmate Ronald "Ronnie" Carlson.
Sandy's life was deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, her love for family, and her loyal friendships. She enjoyed traveling, watching sports, entertaining, and cooking. She had an artistic side, enjoyed making floral arrangements and ceramics for all her friends and family. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
The Visitation will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025, at St. Matthias Catholic Church 9306 West Beloit Road, Milwaukee from 3:00 PM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 PM. Private burial Saturday, May 3 at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin.
A special thank you to the staff at Zilber Hospice.
