Rosie Lee Hutchins was born August 5th 1947 to Jimmy Brown and Mariah Hutchins. Rosie spent her childhood in Sumterville, Alabama. She graduated from Sumter County Training School in 1966. After the passing of her late mother she made her way to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During her time in Milwaukee she had three children James, Beverly, and Annette Hutchins.
Rosie was a devoted single mother who worked hard to take care of her family. Later in her life she met her husband Roy Scott who passed away in 2014.
Rosie worked for over thirty years at a local restaurant called George and Ula’s. After her time there ended, she then began working at Spic N Span where she stayed for twenty-five years. After the passing of her husband Roy Scott, Rosie decided it was time to retire. But being the hard working woman she was, Rosie couldn’t just sit down. Rosie worked part-time at Sunshine Cleaners until her passing.
Rosie was the embodiment of strength and resilience. Every obstacle she encountered she faced it with bravery. Though Rosie has left this world her legacy lives on.
