Rita Ann Lipski

After a long illness, Rita Ann Lipski (nee Stankiewicz), 86, died peacefully surrounded by her family on September 19, 2022.  Born September 21, 1935, she was the eldest daughter of the late Michael and Eugenia Stankiewicz.  Rita was also preceded in death by Myron, her husband of nearly sixty years, her brother Daniel Stankiewicz, and her sister Mary Robertson.

Beloved mother of Chris Lipski, Cindy (Gene) Spitza, Lisa (Lucky) Chopp, Shelly (Rich) Welsh, and Beckie Lipski.  Cherished grandmother of Christopher Jr. (Jenny), Annie (Joshua), Elizabeth, Rachel (James) Aikens, Emily, Lauren (Nick) Codding, and Hannah Lipski.  Dear great grandmother of 12 loving great grandchildren.  She is survived by her brothers Eugene (Shirley), Michael (Barbara), David (Kathy), and Marc (Cindy) Stankiewicz, her sisters Judith McDonald, Catherine (Michael) Ferlitsch, and Jane (Bill) Ryan and numerous other family and friends whose lives she impacted throughout the course of hers.

Rita will be remembered for her devotion to her faith and her family.  She was a well-known and well-loved fixture at Milwaukee's Corpus Christi parish (now Blessed Savior), an active parishioner who was always willing to help in any way she could.  She enjoyed growing flowers in her garden, singing with the choir, and baking sweets to share.

Memorial Gathering Friday October 28, 2022 at Blessed Savior Catholic Church 8545 West Villard Avenue, Milwaukee from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.  Final placement of Rita's cremains will take place after Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.
