Rev. DePaul (Joseph) J. Sobotka, OFM

DePaul was born on August 16, 1934 in Edwardsville, PA.  He entered the novitiate of the Franciscan Friars of Assumption Province on August 14, 1954.  He made his first profession on August 15, 1955, solemn profession on August 15, 1958 and ordination on June 8, 1963.  DePaul died suddenly on January 2, 2020 at Queen of Peace Friary in Burlington, Wisconsin at the age of 85, in his 65th year of religious profession, and 57th year of priesthood.

Visitation Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Queen of Peace Friary Chapel, 2281 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, Wisconsin from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 PM.  Interment Provincial Cemetery, Pulaski, Wisconsin.
