Peter Carl Armstrong
Passed away January 21, 2019 at the age of 65 years surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin March 22, 1953, the son of the late Donald and Carlyn (nee Bruns) Armstrong.
While attending Custer High School, he began working part time as a dishwasher at the Simon House Restaurant in the Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin area. Within a few short years, Peter worked his way up to head chef at this prestigious establishment. In the early 1980's, he was asked to join Baumann Wholesale Meats where he later became co-owner. Baumann was a highly regarded meat distributor servicing restaurants, health care institutions and airlines in the greater Milwaukee area for many years.
Peter had a life long passion for sailing and vintage boats. Being on the Three Lakes chain of lakes in northern Wisconsin was paradise for him. People that knew Peter were well aware of his generous spirit and helpful nature.
Peter is survived by his wife JoAnn Armstrong (nee Schlapman), step-daughters Danielle and Sarah Miziul, brother Richard Armstrong and sister Karen Armstrong, long-time friend Kathy Armstrong, and his furry friends Thunder and Willie. Peter is further survived by close cousins and numerous friends.
Private services were held. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
