Pamela Kay "Grammie" Scott (née Pollesch) passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the age of 69.
Born on June 26, 1955, in Beaver Dam, Pamela spent her life dedicated to caring for others. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Nursing in 1977 and began her career at St. Michael's Hospital. Her passion for nursing and patient care led her to earn her Family Nurse Practitioner master’s degree in 2001. Pamela’s career was marked by compassion and service; she went on to lead the Angel of Hope Clinic, providing medical care to underprivileged communities with unwavering dedication.
Later in her career, Pamela embraced the adventure of travel nursing, bringing her expertise and kindness to patients across the state before retiring in 2023. Her work extended beyond borders as well—Haiti always held a special place in her heart. Over the years, she made numerous trips to Le Cayes on medical missions, offering care and hope to countless individuals. Pamela traveled the world providing medical care to underserved communities and sharing her faith with those in need. At her very core, Pamela’s deep-rooted desire to help others defined who she was.
Pamela’s love for life was evident not only through her professional achievements but also through her personal passions. Above all else, Pamela treasured her faith. She deeply loved God and was an active member in her church. An avid gardener, she found joy and peace "digging" in her garden for hours on end. Summers were often spent aboard her boat at Swan Lake, where she cherished time surrounded by loved ones. Her adventurous spirit also fueled a lifelong love of travel that took her around the world, to Ecuador, China, Uganda, Iceland and Greece, just to name a few countries.
She is survived by her husband David; son Christopher; daughter Megan; and beloved grandchildren Samuel, Elizabeth, and Benjamin Sayas. She loved her “babies,” rarely missed any of their events, and spoiled them as only a Grammie could. She was the cherished middle sister of Greg (JoAnn) Pollesch and Todd (Christine) Pollesch, and a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was also blessed to have her mother-in-law, Beverly Scott, still present in her life.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Donna Pollesch.
A celebration of Pamela’s life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Eastbrook Church, located at 5353 N. Green Bay Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Friends for Health in Haiti (http://www.friendsforhealthinhaiti.org).
Pamela Kay “Grammie” Scott leaves behind a legacy of compassion, service, and love that touched countless lives, both near and far. Her strength, generosity, and endless devotion to serving others will be deeply missed. May her memory continue to bring comfort, inspiration, and strength to all who knew her.
