Mary S. Ricci (nee Marx)

A child of God, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Born January 24, 1931, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Leo and Loretta Marx, Mary was called home to God and born into eternal life on February 19, 2023.

She is survived by John, her husband of 67 years, their children, Jeanne Ricci (Jerry Jelacic), Greg (Trish) Ricci, Margaret (Ken) Hartzell, Michael (Lois) Ricci, and David (Madeline) Ricci, her grandchildren, Lucy (Mark) Still, Rosemary Ricci, Isabel (Justin) Viernes, Andrew (Nora) Hartzell, Melissa Hartzell, Trevor (Paige Corazalla) Ricci, Amber Santoro-Ricci, and Nina Ricci, and her great grandchildren, Benedict, Josephine and Genevieve Still, and Lewis and Maren Hartzell. Mary is further survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Bob (Mary Helen) Marx and Tom Marx, and Tom’s wife Marilyn.

After graduating from Messmer High School, Mary earned a degree in Dental Hygiene from Marquette University. Later in life, Mary could be found volunteering at Mother of Good Counsel School and Parish, Christ Child Society, Ronald McDonald House, and St. John Vianney Parish.

Memorial visitation will be held for Mary on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 9:30am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, all at St. Dominic Catholic Parish, 18255 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin 53045. Private committal at the Columbarium at the Prayer Gardens of St. Dominic Catholic Parish will follow the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Christ Child Society, St. Vincent de Paul, or Messmer Catholic Schools are appreciated.
