Mary Elizabeth Carle

Passed away peacefully at home April 7 at the age of 100 years.  Born to life in Phillips, Wisconsin to Norman and Ida (nee Dugan) Burbey on Christmas Day 1920.  Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Slim", her daughter Judy, her sons and daughter in laws Timothy "Donnie" (Margaret "Snooky") Carle, Richard (Eileen) Carle, Judy (nee Wilson) Carle, Dorothy "Dodo" (nee Wilson) Moelk and son in law Terrence Guibord. 

Survived by sons Douglas Carle, Terrence (Gail) Carle, and Ronnie Moelk; daughter Cheryl Guibord; her sister Donna Burbey Nelson, special Godson Tommy Carl; 14 loving Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, the entire Moelk family, other relatives and many friends and loyal fur baby Tater Tot (aka Poochie).

Heaven has gained another angel.  Although her Earth wings were strong, we know her angel wings will be even stronger.  Just as she has done the last 100 years, she will continue to watch over her family.  Words cannot begin to describe Mary.  Whether you were a blood relative or friend, you were immediately family to Mary, for life.  She was and will always be the most remarkable, beautiful, caring, kind, inspirational, problem solver, strong, sweet, happy, life of the party, funny, story teller, infectious, selfless woman who we have had the honor to call mother, sister, auntie, grandma, great grandma, great great grandma.  Just being in her presence made your day better.  She has touched so many lives and hearts along her very long journey here on this Earth.  Amazing doesn't even seem to sum her up!  She had a huge heart who had little expectations, lived a simple life and enjoyed such simple things, but loved in the biggest way.  Her family always meant the most.  She always provided the most unconditional love.  While she is no longer with us, her memories, life lessons, and laughter will always be with us and kept close to our hearts.

A Graveside Service will be held for Mary on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park, 14875 West Greenfield Avenue, New Berlin.  Please meet inside the cemetery entrance.
