Margaret "Margie" Borchardt Obituary

Margaret Lucille Borchardt "Margie"

Age 84 years.  Born to life December 8, 1934 in Milwaukee daughter of Andrew Salfer and Katherine Klamik Salfer.  Born to eternal life March 15, 2019 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.  Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry.   Dear mother of Marjorie, Harry (Ellen), and Steve (Denise) Borchardt.  Loving grandmother of Andrew (Ally) Borchardt.  Sister of Helen Howland.  Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at St. Matthias Catholic Church 9306 West Beloit Road, Milwaukee from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM.  The Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM.  Interment after Mass at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin.

Margie was a graduate of West Division High School in 1953.  In 1956, she met Harry Borchardt at her job at Capitol - Husting where they were both employed.   Harry passed away in 1966.  Margie's passion was her own children, and all the other children that she cared for throughout her life.  She loved knitting, crocheting, and baking and won several awards at the State Fair.  Her Christmas cookies were legendary as well as the kindness that was felt by all those whose lives she touched.

Memorials to the Veterans Honor Flight or Wounded Warriors preferred.

Rest in peace Margie, until we meet again.
