Margaret (“Maggie”) Louise Lange

Born to Eternal Life August 28, 2023, at age 71 years, of Milwaukee (formerly of California and Arizona). Beloved mother of Joseph Lange (Chelsea) and adoring Nana of Ellie. Caring sister of Martin (Joy), Carl (Christine), Kurt (Sandy), Kate, Erich (Kathy), Frederick (Nancy), Frances (Jeff), Jennifer, and Emily (John). Further survived by her dear Aunt Elaine, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Janet Lange.

Maggie had a fearless and unbounded curiosity, along with a passion for travel, new experiences, and meeting people. She was a lover of various cultures, especially Asian, Mexican, and Native American. Maggie had a great sense of fashion and interior design, and a love of plants, animals, teddy bears, dolls, and thrift shops! Perhaps she is best summed up in the words of her daughter-in-law:

linen pants

aloe plants

thrifted afghans

long talks of next plans

Mission Street

desert heat

tobacco smoke

the last we spoke.

Private interment will be followed by a Celebration of Life at Gordon Park Pavilion, 2828 North Humboldt Boulevard, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53212, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on October 21, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree (see below) in her memory.
