Lois Mae (Nickels) Lau

Lois Mae Lau

Born to life on December 29, 1933, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the daughter of Carl Nickels and Leona Muleler Nickels, Lois was born to eternal life on June 25, 2026, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin at age 92 years.

Lois is survived by her beloved husband of almost 72 years, Everett J. Lau; her dear daughter Linda K. Hardin; her cherished grandchildren Craig A. (Melissa) Lau, Laura E. (Wade) Ebel, and Alexander J. (Stephanie) Czerwinski; her adored great-grandchildren Jordyn, Michael, Mavrix, Laylah, Alex Jr., Stephen, Jocelyn, Hunter, Brooklyn, Conner, Cameron, Ian and Anthony; and her fond siblings Roger (Judy) Nickels, Larry (Marie) Nickels, Gerald (Caryn) Nickels and Barbara (Ken) Wieczorkowski. She Is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents Leona and Carl Nickels, daughter Mary Beth Lau-Czerniak, sister Jacqueline Sosnosky, brother Charles Nickels Jr., grandson Joshua Hardin and great-grandson Lennix Ebel.

Lois was longtime resident of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She regularly volunteered at her parish church and always greeted family and friends with a sincere smile and listening ear that made them feel they were the most important person in the conversation. She will truly be missed by all.

Visitation will be held for Lois on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 10:00am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, all at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4825 North Wildwood Avenue, Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. Her final resting place will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
