Linda K. Scofield was born to life on February 15, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, the beloved daughter of John Joseph Chlopecki and Mary Elizabeth (nee Blankenberger) Chlopecki, and entered eternal life on January 5, 2024, in Grafton, Wisconsin at age 78 years. She was the dear granddaughter of Joseph and Antoniette Chlopecki and Adam and Katherine Blankenberger, and the fond sister of Mary Ann (Richard B.) Thompson and John Joseph (Marie) Chlopecki Jr.
Linda will always be a very loving mother to Deborah Lynn Scofield, Michael Herbert (Liz) Scofield and Paul Joseph (Tracey) Scofield and the cherished grandmother to Bryce, Camille, Sophia, Fletcher, Katherine, Alexander, Ella and Benjamin. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
A very accomplished student, Linda was a 1963 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School in Chicago, Illinois, a 1967 graduate of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College near Terre Haute, Indiana, and a 1968 Dietetic Intern Graduate from the Veterans Administration Medical Center Hospital in Hines, Illinois. She received numerous commendations and accolades from adolescents to adulthood.
Linda was the cofounder of Scofield Souvenir and Post Card Company working there for many years, in addition to her long and dedicated dietetic career at Linden Grove Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
Linda’s Catholic faith was a constant throughout her life. She always thought to help anyone, be it a friend, neighbor or parishioner. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and there was always a smile on her face.
A Memorial Gathering will be held for Linda on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 10:30am to 11:45am with a Memorial Service at 12:00 Noon, all at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington Street, Grafton, Wisconsin 53024. Interment will take place at the church cemetery.
Memorials to either St. Mary-of-the-Woods College or St. Joseph Catholic Church requested by the family.
