Linda Faye (Smith) Hairl

Age 72 years, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025. She was born on January 30, 1953, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the union of William and Verma Smith.

Linda began her early education at Townsend Park Elementary School in Pine Bluff. At the age of 10, her family migrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she continued her schooling at LaFollette Elementary, Wells Junior High, and later graduated from Rufus King High School.

Linda will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her kindness, faith, and love touched everyone who knew her. She enjoyed time with family most of all, and she built her life around caring for those she loved.

She is survived by her children and stepchildren:

She is also survived by her siblings

Linda was the beloved grandmother to a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as a beloved Auntie to many nieces and nephews who she loved like her own children—who brought immense joy and pride into her life.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry "Track" Hairl; her parents, William and Verma Smith; her siblings, Clark Williams, Bobby Holmes, Ora Helen Edwards, Calvin Smith, Eddie Dean Smith, & Regina Smith; her stepson, Lamont Wilson; and other dear family members who went before her.

A service to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Monday, October 6th, 2025, at Jelacic Funeral Home, 5639 W Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53218. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery.

Linda's warmth, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
