Obituary

On January 21, 2025, God whispered and said, “Come With Me.” God extended his hand to our Beloved Kenney and Kenny said “YES. GOD!” The hourglass of time slowly but surely spilled its contents and with the passing of the last sand, so went the life of our loving father, brother, friend Kenny, Lewis Sr. Please know for sure that Kenny’s transition was serene, peaceful and simply beautiful! We give Glory to GOD for that day!

Kenny was born to Albert, Evans and Gloria, Lewis on May 13, 1964. Kenny is proceeded by Albert, Evans; Gloria, Lewis; and James, Lewis Jr. Kenny leaves to cherish his memories three daughter’s Kennaye, Lewis Nevada; La’ Quita, Lewis Texas; Latrisha, Lewis Alabama; three son’s Kenny, Lewis Jr-Holiman Texas; Antoine, Lewis Indiana; Kendray Lewis Wisconsin. From his beloved children come grandchildren by the name: Leighton Jr., Benai, Kalyn, Monae, Kendray Jr., Kvion, Cornell, Ne’Veah, Durell, Elijah, Dezirah, Mikyla, Antrease, Antoine Jr. Nia, Amiya, Jayda, Jamarrion, Amira Kenny. attended Roosevelt High School “PANTHERS” in Gary, Indiana. Kenny spent over 15 years as a Security Guard and worked in the Delaney Summer Programs. During the summer Kenny was one of the well-sought-out Roller Skaters at Screaming Wheels Roller Rinks (Skate Guard). Our Father, Brother, Friend had a loving spirit for life. Kenny’s genuine and unconditional “LOVE” never went unnoticed, it was his guiding light. He would give you the shirt off his back!

Kenny leaves to cherish his memory two brothers: Eddie Lewis, Wisconsin; James Lewis (deceased); four sisters: Mary Larry, (Donnie Ray) Wisconsin; Denise Davis (Michael), Maryland; Bravanian, Mosley Texas; Valira Varnado, (Larry) Gary; Debra Evans (Step Sister) Indiana, Nieces: Connie Scott, Wisconsin; Azalia Philbert, Virginia; Kendra Ward Texas; Nephews: Al-Qaadir Texas; Ricardo Lewis Wisconsin; Levi Johnson Texas; Victor Whitehead Gary; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held for Kenny on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 10:00am until the time of services at 12:00 Noon, all at Jelacic Funeral Hoem, inc., 5639 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53218. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
