Kenneth Johnson Obituary

Kenneth Allen Johnson

Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the young age of 36 years on July 12, 2019. Ken was the loving husband of Liya (nee Ma) Johnson and the very proud father of Amelia Johnson. He was the cherished son of William and Christine Johnson and the fond brother of Jennifer (Dustin) Doerschlag and William (Joy) Johnson. Ken is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Ken was born in Tucson, Arizona on August 4, 1982, and moved with his family to Phoenix where he resided until 1993. The family then moved to Rockin, California where he resided until 1998 when the family relocated to Overland Park, Kansas, where he attended and graduated from Blue Valley North High School in 2000. During his youth, Ken was an avid baseball player in both Little League and high school; he was also an active Boy Scout. Ken graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2008 with a Bachelor of Art in International Economics and a minor in Chinese. Kenny married Liya Ma on March 3, 2011. On April 22, 2013, the couple welcomed their daughter Amelia Sophia into the family. She was the apple of his eye and he doted on her. Ken was a proud family man and an active member of the Knights of Columbus of the Holy Family Parish in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. Other than Liya and Amelia, his two passions were baseball, especially following his favorite team, The Oakland Athletics, and cooking. Many knew Ken from his work as a financial advisor. He leaves behind family, friends, co-workers and clients who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held for Ken on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 1:00pm until the time of Mass at 3:00pm, all at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4825 North Wildwood Avenue, in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. Private burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 27, 2019.

Please remember Kenny in your prayers. May God hold Ken in the palm of His hands.
