Kathleen Rose Kirchner

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 30, 1949, the daughter of Arthur and Genevieve (nee Szehlek) Zemlicka, Kathy was reunited with her husband Richard Kirchner in heaven when she passed away peacefully on May 27, 2021 at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the age of 71 years. A graduate of Riverside High School, Kathy and Richard started a family and raised their two children, Michelle and Jason, on Milwaukee's northwest side. She worked in retail sales before staying home to raise the children and manage the household. The consummate mother, Kathy was happiest when she was with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her dear children, Michelle Young and Jason (Shanell) Kirchner; her cherished grandchildren, Kara Kirchner, Davonta (Shonte) Kirchner, Jason (Tequila) Kirchner Jr., LaShayla Kirchner and Angel Kirchner; her adored great-grandchildren, Maximus, Athena, Maurice Jr., Aaliyah, Harmony, Melody, Davonta Jr., Sophia, Penelope, Royal, Rylie and Londyn; her fond brothers, John (Cindy) Zemlicka, her twin brother Kenneth (Lillian) Zemlicka and Richard (Jaye) Zemlicka and brothers-in-law Mark Kirchner and Keith Kirchner; in addition to nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Visitation will be held for Kathy on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 6:00pm; please attend and plan on sharing your favorite story about Kathy.  

Kathy's family would like to thank the staff at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital for the truly compassionate care they provided for her the last few weeks of her life.
