Joseph Calvin Flenorl III
Joseph Flenorl III "Joe" was born August 19, 1959 in Milwaukee, WI, to father Joseph Flenorl Jr. and mother Gertrude (Davis) Flenorl.
He attended James Madison High School in Milwaukee, WI, completing his education and earning a Bachelor of Science degree through Springfield College. Throughout the years to follow, he was a hard working man, working various jobs to support his family. His career started in computer science and in his final years, he enjoyed real estate.
Joe was very loving and would do anything for anyone. He is known by many for wanting everyone to enjoy a meal prepared by him and his skills on the grill. He dreamed of having his own restaurant called the “Rib Shackk.” Also, he really enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Music was his second language. He loved playing instruments like drums, guitars, and the piano. Some of his other passions were fishing, golfing, spending time with family and friends, and talking to people about God’s word the Bible.
At an early age, he realized the importance of developing a relationship with our creator, Jehovah God. He was baptized as a young adult, dedicating his life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and setting an amazing example of someone striving to serve God to the best of their ability despite any health challenges.
There was never a dull moment when Joe was in the room. He looked for any opportunity to encourage and support whomever he could. You knew you’d be in his presence to have a good time laughing, eating, or talking about Jehovah and the promises of His Kingdom.
On September 12, 2022, his battle with cancer came to an end, passing away at the age of 63. His last moments were peaceful. Under hospice care at home, he was lovingly cared for by his wife and daughter. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Flenorl Jr.; and youngest sister Jacqueline Flenorl.
Joseph Flenorl III leaves to cherish his memory and lasting love – his mother Gertrude (Davis) Flenorl; wife Sylvia (Coleman) Flenorl; two sons, Joseph Smith and Leonard Burnley; one daughter, Nicole Flenorl; three grandsons Armoni Smith, Arcell Smith, and Cameron Burns; and sister Victoria Flenorl. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6636 West Appleton Avenue, Milwaukee, at 2:00pm. To watch the service on Zoom, please go to Zoom and use: ID: 414-455-4104 Password: 414110 .
