Joel Thomas Hutchinson (Winchester)
Joel passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the age of 65 years. He was the loving father of Marshall Hutchinson and Lynea Hutchinson, and stepfather of Bill (Nikki) Lawrence. Joel was the cherished grandfather of Serenity Coutley. He will be sorely missed by his siblings, Mary (Frank) Grillo, Cherie LaFleur, Gail (Thomas) Junemann and Linda LaFleur, in addition to nieces, nephews, other relatives and many old and new friends. Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Suzanne (Walter) Zitzke and Keith Hutchinson, his brother Thomas Hutchinson and nephew Jacob Kirchberger.
Joel attended Menomonee Falls High School, where he played both football and basketball. He loved classic rock, pizza, and Miller Genuine Draft. His main occupations in life were as a shear operator at Perlick Corporation, and as the Public Works water chief in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joel looked forward to his weekends, since he worked hard during the week so he could be the single parent provider for his two children. He loved sports and was the commissioner of a fantasy football league. Chances are, Joel will probably find a way to continue to watch and follow the Packers, Bucks and Brewers in the afterlife.
Marshall and Lynea will host a celebration of life for Joel at De Marinis Pizzeria, N88W15299 Main Street, Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Heartfelt thank you to Aurora and Zilber hospice staff. A special thanks and appreciation to Joel’s daughter Lynea❤️Her tireless efforts in providing loving and patience caregiving created a quality wellbeing for the last of Joel’s years.
“Joel is on his stairway to heaven,
but he lived his life as a joker,
a smoker and a midnight toker,
and he played his music in the sun.”
