Jerry Wayne Maki was born to eternal life peacefully on January 26, 2026, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Appleton, Wisconsin. He is survived by his children Kim (Will) Dussault and Chris (Randy) Maki, his stepchildren David Dussault and Mark (Becky) Dussault, ten grandchildren and four grand pups, among several other family and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother Betty Parker and stepfather Peter Parker, his loving wife Carol Maki, his brothers Glen and Larry and his nephew Eric.
Born on July 24, 1953, Jerry learned to survive through the struggle. He worked for several years collecting funds for the Milwaukee Police and Milwaukee Fire Departments before taking a job in concessions at Miller Park. Through laughter and sharing his stories, he touched many lives. After cancer took his voice, he continued to brighten everyone’s life and shared his love for God.
Visitation will be held for Jerry on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 1:00pm until the time of his funeral service at 3:00pm, all at Jelacic Funeral Home, Inc., 5639 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53218. Please wear Packers or Brewers team attire to celebrate his favorite teams.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the family to assist with expenses. Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home on the 15th.
