Jerome William Schwab
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 21, 1931, the son of Adam Schwab and Catherine (nee Lechman) Schwab, Jerome found peace March 14, 2022, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at age 90 years. Jerome was the beloved husband for 54 of the late Rosemary (nee Edlhuber) Schwab before her passing in 2007. He was the loving father of Barbara (Ronald) Grimm and Jeannie (Mark) Kolter; the cherished grandpa of Laura (Josh) Grebe, Brad Grimm, Jodyanne (Aaron) Benson and Caroline (Jordan) Nash; and the dear great-grandpa of Madelyn, Jude, Avila, Annie Clare and the late Noah. Jerome was also the fond brother of Margaret Ritter and Helen Bettinger and brother-in-law of Dolores Edlhuber. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jerome was a graduate of Boy’s Tech High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Following high school, he proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the US Army, achieving the rank of Corporal. After his military service, Jerome worked for many years as a cableman and test desk technician for the phone company.
Visitation will be held for Jerome on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 11:00am until the time of Mass at 12 Noon, all at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 18255 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Interment next to his wife will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
