JEFFERY ROSS MYER, Attorney

Age 74 years, March 30, 2026. Beloved husband of Attorney Patricia Cavey and dearest father to Daniel Myer. Survived by sister Kathryn (Joseph) Lukens, sisters-in-law Deborah McCarty and Cheryl Myer, brother-in-law Tom Cavey (Diane Logsdon) and mother-in-law Doris Cavey. Predeceased by parents Leo Donald Myer and Mary Elizabeth Reynolds Myer and brothers John Myer and Joel Myer. Jeff is further survived by generations of lawyers, judges and students he has mentored and wonderful friends.
Jeff was the long time litigation director at Legal Action of Wisconsin. Jeff’s 50 year legal career included numerous class action lawsuits and law reform work on behalf of employees, veterans, tenants, unhoused people, service members, people subjected to all forms of discrimination, consumers, seniors and those seeking justice in an often unjust world. Described as a mensch, a person of honor, integrity and dignity who zealously represented his clients. Jeff wanted his lawyers to be unafraid, work at the highest level and have fun.
Visitation on Tuesday, April 28 at 1:00pm with eulogy at 1:45pm. Mass at 2:00pm at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 1937 N. Vel R. Phillips Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53212. Accessible entrance and parking behind church. Memorials to Carleton College Student Comp History Program in Jeff’s name or Capuchin Ministry.
