James Geary Obituary

James T. Geary

Embraced Eternal Life on October 5, 2018, at Oak Park Senior Living in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin at the age of 83 years. Jim was born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 8, 1934, the son of Joseph and Jane (nee Burke) Geary. He was married to Constance "Connie" (nee Crawford) Geary for 52 years prior to her death in 2013. Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife Connie, his son John, and his parents Joseph and Jane. He is the loving father of Kim, Michael (Christine), Barb, Steven and Elizabeth Geary; the cherished grandfather of Michael Dorshak, Sarah (Steve) Thielke, Kelsey (Jonathon) Bradley, Jack Geary and Steven Hergert; the proud great-grandfather of Olivia, Isabella and Lucas Thielke and Noah Bradley; and the fond brother of Joseph Geary, Jack Geary and Sally Hoffman. Jim is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jim was raised in the Merrill Park neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he attended St. Rose of Lima grade school and graduated from West Division High School. After graduation, Jim went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Army. After his discharge from the Army, he began what would be nearly a 60 year career in the bearing industry.

In 1982, Jim began a new journey and was a proud founder of Allied Bearing Co. with his business partners Carl Sokol and Craig Stark. He spent over 30 years successfully growing the company with his friends until finally retiring in 2015.

Jim was also very proud of his Irish heritage and celebrated all things "green". He was a leader in the Merrill Park neighborhood area while he raised his family there and he was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following all of the Wisconsin sports teams including local high school teams.

There will be no formal services held for Jim.

"May he rest in peace. Amen"
