Born to life November 28, 1931 in Milwaukee son of Joseph and Anna Cira. Born to eternal life June 17, 2020 at Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee at the age of 88 years. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2018. Jim is survived by his children Deborah (Terry) McCormack, Jacqueline (Tom) Marquardt, Steven and Charles Cira. Dear grandpa of Melissa (Adam) Roskopf and Austin Marquardt. Great grandpa of Trystan and Cole Roskopf. Brother of Joseph (Joan) Cira. Brother in law of Millie Casey and Blanche (Don) Schoenhaar. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 12801 West Fairmount Avenue, Butler, Wisconsin from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Jim graduated June 5, 1949 from Messmer High School in Milwaukee. After graduating from Messmer he started working for USM Corporation (United Shoe Machinery Corp.). Jim joined the Army on November 12, 1952 and served until September 16, 1954 during the Korean War. Jim reached the rank of Sergeant serving in Korea. After the Army service, Jim went back to USM until November 1, 1985 when his position as Service Supervisor was terminated after 36 years. He started working in 1992 for P & C Media Transit and Shelter Advertising as operations manager and retired in 1997.
Jim was a 35 year member of American Legion-Electric Post #228 until it disbanded in 2011. He still was an American Legion member for another 7 years totaling 42 years.
