Jae Schwartz Obituary

Jae Lynn Schwartz of Grafton died unexpectedly Friday October 18th, 2019 at Ascension Columbia-St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital in Mequon. She was 54.

Born on May 25th, 1965 in Grafton, to Norman and Bettie Janisse. She graduated from Grafton High school in 1983. Married to Vincent Schwartz on July 13, 1991. The two had two daughters they raised together in Port Washington, Shelby and Alexandria Schwartz.

She was a great woman, loved by all. She had a strong heart and very stubborn. She loved to be out gardening around the house she grew up in and inherited from her parents before her. She loved to spoil her granddaughter, Halie Schwartz-Peck. She enjoyed hanging out with her family, sipping on some Amaretto, playing card games or watching movies. She never gave up. She worked hard. She loved hard. She loved everyone around her, and she still does. She will always be in our hearts.

She worked a wide range of jobs, most recent job working as a picker/packer at Chief River Nursery Co. In Grafton.

She is survived by her husband, two children, one granddaughter; siblings Dennis Janisse of West Bend, Crystal Bliese of Lansing, MI, and Nicole Krutke of Mauston. As well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Bettie Janisse.

Visitation will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington Street, Grafton, Wisconsin, on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 11:00am until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00pm.

Jae grew up at her parents’ home in Grafton. Growing up the youngest with three older siblings. She enjoyed playing outside or swimming in the river that runs along the house. She enjoyed riding horses or playing her pet sheep. During deer season she could be found up north hunting with her dad and other family members. She always talked about how she would shoot once and get one and never saw the point to stay there any longer, waiting for more when it was so cold out. Just shoot and go home.

After high school, she stayed around town, hanging out with friends, working, enjoying life.

Dad knew her since she was in high school. Spending years together, they finally tied the knot on July 13th, 1991. She was his rock and kept him going. Supporting him in all he does. Being there for him while he drove truck. Whether locally or nationally. She stayed home helping with their two girls as well as working.

Jae had a strong, loving heart. She was always there when you needed someone to talk to, a shoulder to cry on, a hug to comfort you. To her two children, she was the best mother two girls could ever ask for. But she was more than just a mother to them. She had more than two children, she had many. The girl’s friends from school, the neighborhood, anyone she met. She took in anyone who needed help. Always lending an ear or a couch to crash on. She treated anyone she met like family. She had a big heart, and lots love to give.

I love you not only for what you are, but for what you are when I am with you.

If you love something let it free,

If it comes back to you it’s yours,

If it doesn’t it never was.

Hold onto your dreams, don’t ever give in, if you keep trying your going to win.

There has to be something special about you because….I love you.

In nature the unusual is often beautiful, this is true of people too.

Don’t dream it….Be it!

I am reflected through the heaven of your eyes, in their sparkle, I am beautiful alone, I am only me.

The love in your heart wasn’t put there to stay, love isn’t love until you give it way.

A friend is one who will love and care for you always,

Therefore, I am your best-friend for life!

Jae Janisse
