Hollice McNeely, Jr. Obituary

Hollice McNeely, Jr. was born on September 9, 1950 to the union of Minerva Lee Gillespie and Hollice McNeely, Sr. in St. Louis, Missouri. He received his formal education in the Chicago Public School System in Chicago, Illinois. He continued his education at a machine shop.

Hollice McNeely, Jr. was united in holy matrimony with Emma Lee Harris on April 3, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois. Their union was blessed with three children.

Hollice McNeely, Jr. was employed as a machine operator for ten years. He also drove a school bus and transported seniors and people with disabilities. In his leisure, he enjoyed swimming, roller skating, playing dominoes and drinking with friends.  

Hollice McNeely, Jr. departed this life on March 12, 2021 at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Minerva Lee Smith; father, Hollice McNeely, Sr.; stepfather, Horace Earl Smith; daughters, Tanya Cherie McNeely and Nataki McNeely; and sister, Beverly Earl Smith. 

Hollice McNeely, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Emma Lee McNeely; sons, Andre McNeely and Hollice McNeely III; granddaughter, Kenisha Campbell; great-grandson, Aydane Campbell; sister, Barbara McBride; brother, Ozay McNeely; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held for Mr. McNeely on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 11:00am until the time of sharing of stories of Mr. McNeely by family and friends at 1:00pm, all at Jelacic Funeral Home, Inc., 5639 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53218.
