George Michael Murphy, Sr.

Born to life on November 10, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of George and Josephine (nee Alioto) Murphy, George passed away on March 15, 2025, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin at age 72 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Helen (nee Osborne) Murphy. 

George was the loving father of Christopher Murphy, George Murphy, Jr., Kevin Scott Murphy and Jacqueline (Bairon) Roos and the cherished brother of Rose Rugg. He was also the dear nephew of Frances Marvin and fond cousin of Cindy (David) Talllier and Donna (Bob) Bath. George is further survived by other relatives and friends.

George was a hard and trusted worker, never missing a day of work and giving his employer a full workday every day. He last worked in janitorial services for Clean Power. 

A memorial gathering will be held for George on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 10:30am until the time of the service of remembrance at 11:30am, all at Jelacic Funeral Home, Inc., 5639 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53218. Private interment will take place next to his wife Helen at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, Wisconsin at a later date.
