Fred Andreas Werkmeister "Fritz"

Born into eternal life Friday, August 23, 2019. Born to life December 14, 1929 in Munich, Germany, grew up in Arequipa and Cusco, Peru.  After his arrival to the United States in 1955 he studied engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, and later held positions at Allis Chalmers, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District and the Milwaukee County Facilities.  An avid car enthusiast, fixer of all things, and author of two self-published books, he was always interested in how things worked.  Mr. Werkmeister is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Amparo (nee Rozas), along with children Anna (Mario) Suarez, Frederick Werkmeister Rozas, Monica (Carlos) Zela-Koort, and Lisa (Sue) Werkmeister Rozas: grandchildren David (Natalia) West, Andrew (Kari) West, T.J. (Jenna) West, Stephanie (Jordan) White, Kat (Jason) Hartwell, Anais Werkmeister, Franz Werkmeister, Michael Werkmeister, Karl Zela-Koort, Andrea Zela-Koort, Amalia Werkmeister-Dana and William Werkmeister-Dana; great grandchildren Connor McNeil, Lilly McNeil, Madelynn Hartwell, Taylor Hartwell, and Ryker West.  He is also survived by his brother-in-law Dario Alberto Rozas (Bobbie) , their children and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister Edeltraut Riewe and granddaughter Erica West.

A Memorial Gathering will be held for Mr. Werkmeister on Monday, August 26, 2019, from 2:00pm until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00pm, all at Alexian Village Chapel, 9301 North 76th Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53223.
