Frank Bearden, Jr.
Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on March 13, 1947, the son of Frank Bearden, Sr. and Willie Mae (nee Reynolds) Bearden, Frank passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 21, 2021, at Zablocki V.A. Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 8 days.
Frank received his formal elementary education at St. Peter’s Catholic Grade School in Pine Bluff, prior to receiving his secondary education at Merrill High School, also in Pine Bluff. After high school, he went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following the war and after relocating to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Frank attended classes at Milwaukee Area Technical College.
On June 24, 1984, Frank and Jeanette (nee Jackson) married. To support his family, Frank worked various jobs during his adult life, including at Pittsburg Paints, the City of Milwaukee, Department of Public Works, running his own limousine service and driving cab. Health issues effected Frank, with dialysis starting in 2002, followed by a kidney transplant in 2005 and spinal stenosis in 2011.
Left to mourn Frank’s passing is his beloved wife, Jeanette; his loving children, Vernon (Alisa), David (Rebecca), Derrick (Ann), Nichelle, Jeanel, Angela, Dominque and Jason Wilder (nephew); his dear siblings, Theresa Gray, Shirley (Booker) Bearden-Lambouths, Curtis (Velma) Bearden, Eric (Shirley) Bearden, Kenneth (Brenda) Bearden, Gwendolyn (Chris) Redwood, Christopher (Charmaine) Bearden and Felecia Bearden; fond brother-in-law of Robert (Debra) Jackson, Sr., Ella (Troy) Vaughn and Emma Wilder; 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Willie Mae Bearden, his grandson, Isaiah Porter; his siblings, Lawrance Bearden and Sharon Bearden; and his brother-in-law, Robert Gray and niece Robyn Gray. .
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen.
SERVICES:
Visitation Monday, August 30, 2021 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm with family Hour from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home.
Additional visitation Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 9:00am until time of services at 10:00am all at the funeral home.
Military Honors at Holy Cross Cemetery at 12:00 Noon.
