Eunice Hilda (Sayer) Schmidt

Eunice H. Schmidt (nee Sayer) died peacefully at home on January 18, 2023 after her long battle with cancer.  Eunice has joined her Lord at the age of 90 to be with her husband Joe, her parents Michael and Anna Sayer, her siblings Alma (Pat), Evelyn, Kenneth and Carlton and many, many more beloved family members and friends.  Eunice is survived by her children Michael (Cindy) Schmidt and Linda (John) Krusick along with her grandchildren Brandon, Kayla, Zackary, Jason, Katy, Eric and many more dear family members and friends. 

In honor of Eunice’s great faith and almost 8 year fight with cancer it is fitting to end with this: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).  She is home at last.

Eunice’s “Celebration of Life” service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 14 at her beloved church Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 211 Main Street, Mukwonago, WI 53149, where she served and was a member for well over 50 years.  The family will gather at 2:00 pm to welcome those that wish to visit.

In lieu of flowers please, if you wish, leave a donation to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in her name so they can continue the good work Eunice loved or to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation in honor of the wonderful care she was given through her battle with the disease.
