Ervin "Erv" Groth

Found peace on January 19, 2025 at the age of 98, Preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Audrey Groth (Nee Roeser), his son Steven and brother Clarence (Ruth) Groth.  Loving father of Wayne (Mary) Groth, Sandy Douglas and Terry (Patty) Groth.  He was proud to be part of five generations.  Grandpa to Rob (Kim), Andy (Lauren), Daniel, Nick (Jayne), Tim, Emily (Jeremy) and Matthew (Kim). Great-grandpa to Dylan (Emily), Rachel (Kyle), Addison, Parker, Keira, Charlie and Stanley. Great-great-grandpa to Tyson.  Also survived by his brother Emil / Babe (Eva) Groth. Dear friend of Meladie Haas and many other family and friends.   

Erv was a hardworking man.  He worked on a family farm, his dads gas station, and spent 48 years at Stainless Foundry and Engineering.  The love Erv had for animals was unsurpassed.  Gardening and taking care of his yard and flowers gave him joy.  Watching sports, especially Nascar, Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers was his entertainment.  He spent his last 2 1/2 years at Vista Pointe Assisted Living where he found wonderful employees and residents who made him feel like family.  Thank you, for the Love and Happiness you gave him.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Jelacic Funeral Home, Inc., 5639 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53218, from 9:30am until time of the funeral service at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin In lieu of flowers, memorials to HAWS or Vista Pointe Assisted Living.
