Obituary

Ellis Norman Jessel

We celebrate the life of our son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend, Ellis Norman Jessel. He passed away far too soon, on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, doing one of the things he loved most, eating Funyuns while fishing with his brother and dad.

Ellis was one of the happiest ten-year-old boys the world could know. He actively explored the world with his brother and had a spirit of curiosity and mischief. He loved building gaming bases, telling stories, and creating memories that will live on forever.

Ellis had a laugh that was contagious and a smile that could melt the coldest day. His joy was pure and unfiltered, and he gave it freely to others. Whether helping a friend, comforting his many pets, especially his Ollie cat, surprising his family with a handmade card, or a random hug, Ellis reminded us what it meant to live fully and love with open arms.

Ellis loved being outdoors, learning about and loving anteaters and armadillos, gaming, friends, school, and music. He wanted to learn to play bass guitar so he, his brother, and dad could jam to their favorite songs. He was a kind, patient, loving, and protective brother to Liam who will miss him tremendously.

Ellis will be forever loved and missed by his dad, Ryan, step-mom, Rachel, brother, Liam, grandparents, Mary and Norman Bandler, Laura and Harry Moats, Sandy and John Stabo, aunts and uncles, Erin and Scott Stewart and Sarah and Matt Goshorn, many more family members, countless friends, and school staff whose life was made brighter by simply knowing him. Ellis never met a stranger.

While our lives are forever changed by his passing, we find solace in knowing he is an angel in heaven with his mother, Katie Jessel.

Rest in peace our sweet boy Ellis.
