Elizabeth “Betty” TenHaken
Born to life on November 7, 1927, to Martin and Anna Minik in Milwaukee, WI. Betty was born to eternal life on September 21, 2025 in West Bend, WI at age 97. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin TenHaken, and sons Joseph Stano, Matthew Stano, Gregory Stano, and John Stano (Clef). Survived by her son Tom Stano (Linda), daughter Mary Krainz (Richard), son Brian Stano (Angie) and her daughters-in-law, Cindy Stano and Judi Stano. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Betty was proud of her Slovak heritage and membership in the Secular Franciscan Order. She also was a member of First Catholic Slovak Ladies’ Association and Milwaukee Retired Educational Secretaries’ Association. She enjoyed knitting, tap dancing, crocheting, traveling and spending time with family, especially her great-grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and had a special devotion to the Rosary. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held for Betty on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5:00pm until 6:00pm with Mass of Christian Burial at 6:15pm, all at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 South 7th Avenue, West Bend, Wisconsin 53095. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately after the Mass. Private interment Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
