Ebony Lanay McNealey was born on October 8, 1977, to Julia Alston and Larry Jackson in Laurel, Mississippi.
Ebony was dedicated back to the Lord and raised in a Christian home. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at an early age. She was a member of St. John’s CME Church. Ebony’s journey and walk with her Savior was not always straight, narrow, or easy, but she was always found to be pressing toward the mark of that high calling.
She received her formal education within the Milwaukee Public School System. Ebony enjoyed spending time with friends and family, listening to music, and loving on and assisting others whenever she could.
At the time of her homegoing, she was a devoted and dedicated employee of Essential Home Care Living. Ebony was surrounded by family and friends during her transition.
Ebony McNealey departed this life on August 20, 2023. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy and Walter Alston, and her aunt, Renee Alston.
She leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Julia Clayton; father, Larry Jackson; son, Deondre Alston; three sisters, Dyona Jackson (Rickey), Brenda Leachman (Dwight), and Aisha Frazier; four brothers, Damion Jackson, Cleophis Frazier, Alston Walker (Shenae), and Houston Walker; 26 nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held for Ebony on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 10:00am until the time of services at 11:00am, all at Jelacic Funeral Home, Inc., 5639 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53218.
