Earlene Lucinda Keating (Riley) was born March 14, 1931, in Cresson, PA, to Ludden J. and Claire L. (Luther) Riley. She was welcomed into the arms of Jesus Christ on November 4, 2024. Earlene was the loving wife of the late Herbert Floyd Keating, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
She was a beloved mother to Debbie (Carl) Young, Nancy (Steve) Bannister, Collette (Bob) Christensen, and a cherished grandmother to Douglas (Eva) Ernest, Christine (Aaron) Welch, Eric (Amelia) Ernest, Jeffrey (Angela) Bannister, Paul (Kelly) Kosanke, Jennifer, Carrie, and Rob (Julie) Christensen, and great-grandmother to Chloe, Eagan, Danielle, Dandelion, Daisy, Daniel, Nicholas (Mallory), Brianna (Cody), Jacob, Nathan, and Cooper.
Earlene is survived by her sister Lloydell (the late Gene) McCloskey, Irma (the late John) Miller, sister-in-law Sandy Riley and brother-in-law Jimmy Lantz of Altoona, PA. She was preceded in death by siblings: Emma Mae (Hugh) Reilly, Aubert Riley, Jack Riley, Collette Lantz, Connie Riley-Arroyo, Gerald Riley, infant twins Mary and Margaret Riley.
She is also remembered by her sisters-in-law, Nancy (Dominique) Pilloud of Switzerland and the late Colleen (Ralph) Mueller.
Affectionately known as "Aunt Earlene" to many nieces and nephews, and as an "adopted mom" to countless friends and family. Earlene graduated from Altoona High School and went on to serve as a Nurse's Aide. She proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where she was honorably discharged upon her marriage.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Kirkland Crossing, the place she called home for eleven years. We also acknowledge the kind and compassionate professional staff from Brighton Hospice and Waukesha Memorial's new Hospice program. We are also grateful to all our friends and family who have shown their support during this time.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m.
