Passed away peacefully on January 6, 2022, at age 84. Loving husband for 65 years of Rita. Beloved father of Dawn Marie (Andy) Wesolowski, Karen (Jim) Keller, Mark Spaltholz (Liz Robertson), James (Anne) Spaltholz, Marybeth (Edward) Ernster and Rebecca (Robert) Mielke. Cherished grandfather of Jessica (Brian) Ebert, Mark Spaltholz Jr., Callie (Jordan) Olsen, Tessa (William) Callan, Jack Spaltholz, Isabella Ernster, Madalynn Ernster, Samuel Mielke and Ethan Mielke, and great-grandpa of Davin, Ella and Myles. Beloved brother of Mary Myers (late Roger) and April (Mike) Habrat. He is preceded in death by his parents Milton and Irene, his sister Peggy Weirs and brother-in law Roger Myers.  Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Don on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, from 9:30am until the time of Mass at 11:00am, all at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 3722 S. 58th St. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Don was a 40 year employee of Allen-Bradley Corp. during the golden era of Milwaukee manufacturing and loved his job. He also took part in building the clock tower known as the “Polish Moon”. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association or the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin requested by the family.
