Dolores Mary McArthur "Dolly"

Born June 18th 1926, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of Walter and Hermine (nee Saks) Ewe. Born to Eternal Life on April 17th 2022, Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Vergil in 2018 and Brothers Walter Ewe Jr. and  Donald Ewe. Mother of two sons, Brian (Laurie) and Larry (Mary) McArthur. Dear Grandmother of Cassandra (Trevor) Mason, Kimberly McArthur and Stephanie McArthur. Survived by her brother, Robert A. Ewe (the late Elaine), sister in-law Joan Ewe, and other family and friends.

Dolores was raised on the east side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She held several clerical jobs including one at Weyenberg Shoe Company. She married Vergil "Mac" McArthur in 1954 and they moved to Greendale, Wisconsin in 1958. In 1960 she took on the most important job of them all, becoming a full-time housewife and home maker to her two sons. Dolly enjoyed traveling and camping with her family, sewing, rugmaking, genealogy research and crafts. Later, she became involved as a volunteer poll worker for Greendale elections and with functions at her church. As a grandmother, she loved taking her granddaughters to ballets and musical performances as well as other activities.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 at 11:00am at Peace Lutheran Church, 17651 W Small Rd, New Berlin, WI 53146.

Memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association are requested by the family.
