Daniel Gerard Wisniewski, born on December 2, 1960, to Alphonse and Clare Wisniewski, passed away on January 4, 2026. Dan will be remembered for his charismatic personality, kindness, humor, generosity, love of gardening, and deep musicality.
Dan’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by his children—Daniel, Jean, and RJ. He is survived by his father, Alphonse Wisniewski, and was preceded in death by his mother, Clare Wisniewski and his sister Jane Wisniewski. He will be deeply missed by his siblings: Julie (David) Koberstein, Jack (Mary Beth) Wisniewski, and Kate (Ken) Szallai, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
A proud graduate of Marquette High School and Marquette University, Dan dedicated his career to education and community. He taught at MPS’ Lincoln Center of the Arts and later oversaw night operations at County Clare, where his warmth and humor touched many.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Oncology and Palliative Care teams at West Allis Memorial Hospital and the Accent Hospice Care Unit for the compassionate care they provided during Dan’s final days.
Memorials in Dan’s honor may be directed to any Melanoma Cancer Center of your choice.
Dan’s celebration of life will be held in a private ceremony with family.
