Cory Paul Rowell
Born July 18th, 1983 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Passed away in the early morning hours on Sunday, September 27th 2020 in Richfield, Wisconsin. Cory was 37 years old. He was a wonderful father, loving son, and excellent friend. Cory is survived by his daughter Alissa Puetz, parents Larry and Vivian, and a wealth of close friends.
Cory worked extremely hard at the Franklin Post Office where he had earned his position as a manager after several years as a mail carrier. Those who worked closely with him can attest that he was very dedicated to his craft, working hard not only to always complete his job but often to help others complete theirs. As a manager his responsibility was solving problems, and he did so with a warm laugh and a wide smile.
In his free time, Cory loved exploring, trying new restaurants and foods, and making new friends. Trying new things was always important to him, and throughout his entire life he made sure he was always exposing himself to new experiences. He was able to enrich his life greatly through the relationships he created with his many friends. He was extremely friendly and social, which was apparent upon first talking to him. His laugh was so loud, one could hear it through a closed door in a different room.
Cory's hometown Milwaukee, Wisconsin was always very important to him. He often donated to the Blood Center of Wisconsin, a local charity which he was very proud to be involved with. In his memory, his family would appreciate a blood donation to the Blood Center, rather than flowers.
He was an excellent public speaker, taking multiple title and trophies in state tournaments for forensics while in school.
Cory lived a very wonderful and rich life. It was very tragically cut very short. His heart was very full of love for many things. Our hearts are all very full of love for him. Cory is and will be constantly and deeply missed.
Memorial Gathering Sun. Oct. 11, 2020, from 1pm to 3:30pm all at Jelacic Funeral Home, 5639 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
