Christine Elizabeth (Bleidorn) Melloch

Christine Melloch

(nee Bleidorn) Age 45, passed away in her home in Glendale, WI, on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, in the company of her loving family and with her beloved husband Marc at her side.  Christine was born October 24, 1975, to Fred and Cathleen (nee Finley) Bleidorn in Milwaukee, WI.  Christine grew up in Wauwatosa, graduated from Pius XI High school and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in education from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.  When she attended her 5-year high school reunion, Christine re-connected with her former classmate, Marc Melloch.  Marc and Christine married at Gesu Catholic Church on March 4, 2000, and went on to raise three beautiful children who were always the center of Christine’s life: Alia (18), a freshman at Winona State University, Myles (17) and Sean (15), both students at Dominican High School. 

Christine worked at M&I Trust Company until 2004 and later at SalesPage, but always made devotion to her children and maintaining a loving home her highest priority.  In 2000, Christine was diagnosed with kidney disease, which she managed successfully until 2011 when she required a transplant. Christine’s cousin John Guyette agreed to be a donor, giving Christine and her family the gift of another nine years of her beautiful life.  Since June 2020 Christine faced a difficult battle with Merkel Cell Carcinoma, a rare aggressive form of skin cancer.  During her final months Christine maintained tremendous strength in the face of great physical hardship and continued to put others first as she had throughout her life.  Christine will be cherished and remembered for her endless devotion to her children and their education, her involvement with the rich community surrounding St. Eugene’s Catholic Parish, and her genuine kindness, humility and generosity in a world where such qualities are increasingly too rare. 

Christine is survived by her Mother, three brothers, Brendan (Kathleen) Rowen, Lyle (Heidi) Rowen, John (Christine) Bleidorn and seven nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering will be held for Christine on Friday, April 30, 2021, from 4:00pm in the afternoon until the time of Mass at 7:00pm in the evening, all at St. Monica Catholic Church, 5681 North Santa Monica Boulevard, Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin 53217 (located on the corner of east Silver Spring Drive and north Santa Monica Boulevard). For those friends and relatives who are not able to attend, the Mass will be live-streamed on the St. Eugene Congregation website at www.steugenecongregation.org  (click on "Watch Mass Live!") or the St. Eugene Congregation Facebook page starting at 6:55pm..
