Charles "Bill" Wingo

Born in Richmond, Virginia on July 2, 1944.  Born to eternal life on June 7, 2021. 

Beloved husband of Judy Wingo for 28 years.  Amazing stepdad of Dr. Michael (Dave Borgealt) Lango, Corrin (Ron) Grimm, and Matt Arnold.  Special grandpa of Alison Grimm.  Survived by many dear friends.

Bill received his license as a single-engine land airplane pilot at the age of 16 in Newport News, Virginia.  Bill graduated with honors and distinction from William and Mary College with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and attained his Master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Labor Relations.  He came to Wisconsin in 1982 to work at Miller Brewing where he was their chief labor negotiator.  After leaving Miller, he was VP of HR at Gilman Engineering in Janesville, and then was the owner of HR Directions.

Bill and Judy enjoyed traveling both nationally and internationally, but Bill's favorite was cruising the Caribbean, since it was the antithesis of his time in the Coast Guard cruising the icy waters of the North Atlantic.  Bill was a race car driver and avid NASCAR fan.

Bill will be remembered as a gentleman, well known for his class, kindness, and fairness.  He will be deeply missed.

Memorial Gathering Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Three Holy Women Parish-St. Rita site,  1617 North Cass Street, Milwaukee from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
