Carl Edward Buford

Mr. Carl Edward Buford was born on September 17, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Carl was the third child born to Earl and Martha Buford.

Carl was educated in the Milwaukee Public School System. During his life Carl enjoyed singing and drawing. He sometimes thought him, and his friend Dean Newborn would be the next “Sam and Dave.”  They sang on many street corners in Milwaukee. He also honed his skills in drawing by drawing anything and anyone that came into his mind. He once drew a picture of a black Jesus Christ that was used for several years at Saint Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church Vocational Bible School. Carl also enjoyed sitting outside his home enjoying peaceful time with friends and family.

Carl Buford departed this life on October 25, 2021, at Froedtert Hospital South of Kenosha, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Martha Buford, four sisters: Rose Coleman, Betty Buford, Joann Buford and Delores Buford, and nephews Corey Pettis and Darell Bratchett. Carl is survived by his two sons: Marcus and Carl Jr.; along with ten grandchildren; Tianna, Davon, Donnel, Brenden, Brieanna, Jayson, Maya, Nakia, Destiny, and Samuel; five brothers, Earl (Patricia), Gary (Trina), Dennis, Craig, and Mitchell (Elaine) Buford; two sisters Earline Harris and Patricia Buford; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves to cherish the love of his life Comessia Armstrong.

Visitation will be held for Carl on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 1:00pm until the time of services at 2:00pm, all at Jelacic Funeral Home, Inc., 5639 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53218.
