Former Wauwatosa Alderman Bernard J. Grimm, age 92 years, was born to eternal life on October 25, 2019. Dear husband of the late Shirley. Father of Ronald (Barbara) Grimm, Karen (Tony) Malovrh, and Jeffrey Grimm. Grandpa of Laura (Josh) Grebe, Bradley, Kassandra, Nicholas (Mikayla), and Kolton Grimm. Great-grandpa of Madelyn. Also survived by many relatives and friends.
Bernie proudly served the City of Wauwatosa for 36 continuous years as an Alderman. The city recently honored him with a memorial park adjacent to the family homestead on 74th and Blanchard Street, which thrilled him immensely. He retired from the Village of Whitefish Bay, Public Works Department, after serving his electrical apprenticeship at International Harvestor. He was a graduate of St. Michael Grade School and Boy's Tech High School.
Bernie was a WWII Army Veteran and cherished the memories of his Honor Flight trip in June 2012. He was an avid bowler for many years. He enjoyed relaxing in his pool, gardening, and fixing almost anything friends and family could break.
Bernie was predeceased by his parents, August and Bernadine; siblings Mary "Mamie", Caroline, August "Boobie", Gerald, Rita, Bernadette and Joseph; and first great-grandchild Noah Grebe.
