Austin James Dale

Austin James Dale passed away on December 7, 2021, he was 24 years old.

Austin is survived by his mother, Catherine Dale, Wauwatosa, WI, and his grandmother, Margaret Dale, Rock Island, IL. He is also survived by his dog, Wrigley, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and second cousins who will all miss him terribly.

Austin was born in Evanston, IL on June 22, 1997. Despite a premature arrival, he was strong, well-loved, and proved to have inherited the Dale stubbornness and so he beat the odds. He attended Marquette University High School and MATC.

Austin was very quiet and extremely thoughtful. He was always concerned about the happiness of others, especially his mom, Cathy. Because of his mom, it was important to him to be an organ donor. He loved animals, being outdoors, and working with his hands. He and his cousins even built furniture together, just for the fun and challenge of it.

Although Austin was an only child, he was raised as a full member of the Dale clan. From annual family vacations Up North, attending summer camps with cousins, to extended stays at the homes of aunts and uncles; he was like a brother to all of his 18 cousins.

Austin will be joining his grandpa, Bill Dale, who passed away in May of 2020. Austin was especially close with and admired his grandpa very much.

Visitation will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 734 Glenview Ave., Wauwatosa, on Friday, December 17th from 9:30am until the time of Mass at 11am.

Due to Covid, the family asks that all in attendance please be aware and considerate of Cathy’s immunocompromised health and only attend if fully vaccinated; wearing masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Austin’s name to The Charles E. Kubly Foundation or a charity of your choice. Cathy would love to hear from friends with any thoughts and/or memories of Austin. These can be left on the funeral home "Tribute" page.
