Anthony "Tony" Cianciolo Obituary

Anthony Joseph Cianciolo, Jr.

Anthony J. Cianciolo, Jr. Age 60 years. Tony found his peace on February 12, 2023, after a very brief stay in hospice. He was born in Milwaukee on April 14, 1962, to Anthony and Kathleen (nee Byrnes) Cianciolo. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, brother Steve and sister Mary Strong. Shortly after graduating from Custer High School in 1981, Tony fulfilled the dream of his youth by packing up his car and driving cross-country to San Diego, CA “where the weather is perfect year-round.” He found varied work in restaurants as a busser and bar back, eventually becoming a bartender when he turned 21. Tony made many, many friends while living in California, several of whom were there for him until the end. Over time, “Tony Cee” studied for, and received his California real estate license and did quite well for his clients and himself. He found enjoyment playing beach volleyball, and he became a fan of the local San Diego teams, especially the Aztecs of SDSU. But he still followed all sports from his home state, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers and his beloved Green Bay Packers. Living in San Diego, on many Sundays he liked to be able to watch the Packers play in the morning and head to the beach in the afternoon for marathon volleyball sessions. Tony also loved his music, attending live shows, was an avid bicyclist and cherished his four-legged “buddies.” In 2018, Tony moved back to the Milwaukee area for the final chapter of his life. He had been suffering from Huntington’s Disease, for which there has yet to be found a cure. Tony is survived by his siblings Linda (the late Dale) Pasbrig, John (Debbie), Chris (Dave) Carpentier, and Michael (Zurita). He was a brother-in-law to Laurie (Steve) Dembiec and Dave Strong. Tony is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews.

Per his wishes, no services will be held.

Please consider memorials in Tony’s name to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
